Apple iPad 2 officially arriving in the Philippines on April 29, 2011

The long awaited Apple iPad 2 tablet will officially be arriving here in the Philippines on April 29, 2011 at selected retail stores here in the country. If you’ve been longing for the thinner version of its predecessor, then this will be the time to line up and camp earlier as stocks are expected to be limited. Although you can purchase the iPad 2 on Apple PH site, but you’d have to wait for a couple of days for it to be shipped. According to Apple’s official press release, the iPad 2 will arrive in Japan on Thursday, April 28 and Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and United Arab Emirates on April 29. iPad 2 will be available at Apple retail stores at 9 a.m. local time on selected Apple Authorized Resellers, and online through the Apple Store beginning at 1 a.m.

iPad 2 Features

The iPad 2 boasts an entirely new design that is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent lighter than the original iPad, while maintaining the same stunning 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen. iPad 2 features Apple’s new dual-core A5 processor for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics and now includes two cameras, a front-facing VGA camera for FaceTime and Photo Booth, and a rear-facing camera that captures 720p HD video, bringing the innovative FaceTime feature to iPad users for the first time. Though it is thinner, lighter, faster and packed with new features, iPad 2 still delivers up to 10 hours of battery life that users have come to expect.

This indoor mini-rc helicopter has three channels for easy and precise flight control, hovering can easily be achieved through its easy-to-use remote control. You can move it up and down, left and right, and forward and reverse in a very accurate manner. It is very lightweight and small that it fits in the palm of your hands.

The Syma S107 rc helicopter is powered by a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery that can be charged directly using a USB cable that’s included in the package or from the built-in handheld controller’s wire that is located on the back left portion of the device. Charging time (based on experience) is usually at 20-30 minutes tops, and has 6-10 minutes of flying time when fully charged. There’s an on and off switch located on the side of the body of the helicopter and front and tail lights that can be turned on and off while flying. The remote control has a fully functional alignment trim for flight balance, a LED power indicator, a left/right lever and a trimmer.

Samsung Philippines Drops Prices of Mobile Phones and Tablets

Samsung Philippines is conducting a two-week nationwide summer sale starting April 1 – 17, 2011 and they are offering huge discounts on some of their latest Android phones and tablets. If you’re planning to buy a brand new smartphone this summer, then this is probably the time to avail one and enjoy the enormous discounts Samsung is offering to their consumers on a two-week run.
