It’s been quite a long time since I’ve featured a new laptop here in Gadget Geek. And now, I think it a good time to feature this latest laptop from Toshiba; the Portege A600 ultraportable laptop. This new ultraportable notebook, as the name suggests, is small and light suitable for traveling and business engagements. Although even if this is one small notebook, its features don’t inhibit it from performing various functional programs.

It may not be the world’s thinnest laptop but the Toshiba Portégé R500-S5007V is definitely the world’s lightest laptop, featuring a 128GB solid state drive and a DVD Super-Multi drive. It measures at around 0.77” in thickness and weighs 2.4 lbs. Just imagine how this innovative Portégé laptop series with an SSD capacity of 128GB allows you to store a stack of data without worrying too much about hard drive crashes.

Toshiba, the multinational conglomerate manufacturing company has just launched their new Portege M800 laptop in Italy. The new Portege M800 laptop features a 13.3’’ TrueBrite widescreen WXGA (280×800), Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2GHz) CPU, Intel GMA X3100 video card, 250 GB of HDD, and 1GB of RAM. It also comes with a DVD SuperMulti drive, Wifi A/G/N, and Bluetooth device. There’s still no word on its pricing but it will be available in Europe later this year. Geez! With all the gadget launching going on, I no longer can keep up with the latest trends. I just wish I could replace my cheap second hand Toshiba Satellite laptop with a brand new one.
