Apple Store Drops Prices of 1st-Gen iPad by 4,000

Apple Store Philippines is currently dropping down the retail price of the 1st-gen iPad by 4,000 pesos, which is good news for the budget-minded consumers who are planning to buy a tablet this month. The local price of the iPad first-gen has gone down to as low as P19,990 for the 16GB with Wifi tablet following the announcement that the iPad 2 will be released in stores within this month in the U.S.

Apple iPad Specifications, Photos and Pricing

Just recently, Apple unveiled their company’s recent creation the Apple iPad. The rumored Apple tablet has been revealed by Steve Jobs himself on his keynote presentation at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, CA. The good news that came out of Steve Jobs speech is the Apple iPad’s pricing, which many didn’t expect the portable tablet to be sold at a very cheap retail price at $499. But how about iPad’s performance? Many are asking about the Apple iPad’s multi-tasking capabilities and specifications. Well, as far as tech users are concerned, the huge touch-screen and thin design really brings out the beauty of the iPad. Just think of it as an enlarged iPhone with more processing power with added features like iBook and iWorks, plus a better browsing and gaming experience. It’s processing speed is probably 2x faster than the Apple iPhone, running on a custom made 1GHz Apple A4 chip processor. It does however, require you to purchase a separate iPad Sim card in order to access the internet with the device.

One of the best features of the iPad are the enhanced web video chat capabilities.  Being able to video chat with great screen and sound quality makes the iPad the superior tablet.
