Pentax, one of the leading camera lens manufacturers has just unveiled their new Pentax Optio W60 Waterproof and Extreme Weather Camera. The Optio W60, as stated above, is waterproof and dust resistant; it’s a 10-mega pixel point-and-shoot digital camera that will survive at depths of up to 13 feet for two hours, good enough for the pool, beach and most non-competitive snorkeling. Take note, it can handle freezing temperatures of up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Some of its features include a 5x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle shooting, HD video recording, an anti-shake system, and a sensitivity of 6400 ISO. This latest digital gadget will soon be out in the market this coming July and will be sold at $330. Not bad for a photography hobbyist like me. Just point and click people.

Creative Labs has just released their latest USB-based external sound blaster card. The X-Fi 5.1 surround operates over a USB interface and will provide full cinematic digital surround sound in hi-fidelity with a 1 second connection.
